Overview
About Me
I'm semi native of San Diego, although I don't fit the mold in a noticable way as I don't drive a car. I'm an advocate for bicycle commuting and work as a substitute teacher.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Ever so often, I like taking short solo trips to both familiar and unfamiliar places in the hopes of finding myself pleasantly surprised. That and also making friends of strangers and gaining cool stories to tell.
Interests
Bicycles and Bike Parties. I didn't think to use CS when I last travelled, although I still managed by means of friends and friends of friends to do just the same but anyway, I tend to look for bike events whenever I do step out of San Diego. Of course I do invite visitors to my local events, as well.
Music, Movies, and Books
I really like listening to Nortec Collective, Joy Division and The Smiths, Electrelane and Yo La Tengo, and all those in their respective Pandora stations.
I'm the sort of person that will buy a new book before I even finish the last one I bought, although I've been good about not doing that recently.
As far as visual media, like shows and movies, besides Adventure Time, Futurama, and the Twilight Show, I don't rave much about shows. Movies, on the other hand, especially cult classics, Stanley Kubrick, and Werner Herzog are character building.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As far as traveling? I don't believe I have any particularly impressive stories but I do enjoy sharing stories that pop up in the moment.
Teach, Learn, Share
Not exactly sure what this section is about but as much as I like to share with people the most outsiderly obscure things of my community, I want for people to do the same for me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Unless you are already great at cooking and thoroughly unimpressed by a novice home cooker, I can totally serve you up some home cooking as my show of appreciation. Added to that is my childlike enthusiasm for the charms of your city.
