ABOUT ME

I am an inquisitive individual that loves to learn, read, explore and be challenged. I have a passion for dance even though I only danced for about seven years on and off in ballet, modern, improv and hip hop. I have a big love for food, meeting new people, making friends, reading and listening to music. I am the oldest of three so I know what it means to be a hard working and understanding individual since I had to learn to share and be there for my younger siblings. I love to dance in informal settings as well take classes to learn techniques. My taste of music ranges from almost everything, except country and heavy metal. I love animals!!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a complicated game of chess that requires you to think on your toes while at the same time be prepared for any obstacle heading your way. It doesn't matter whether you win or lose because at the end of the game all the pieces go into the same box; the point of the game is to gain knowledge and appreciate the mental exercise. The truth various from individual to individual; and it's not what you find as truth but the action of seeking because in reality all human beings are inquisitive travelers waiting to be enriched and satisfied physically, mentally, and spiritually. Respecting each other is the way to go even though you differ in views on any subject. We only live once so we have to enjoy the most without having many regrets and prejudices because no one is perfect but wandering beautiful souls waiting to be illuminated.

Literature, fiction and poetry. Pop, a bit of rap, rock, alternative, hip hop, salsa, merengue, bachata, reggea, regeton, flokorico, tango, and a bit of classical. I love spoken word and to write my own short stories and poetry. I love to draw on occasion and was into anime for a while.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled out of the country for the first time in my life; it's a big step for me because I never thought I would get the chance. I study far away from home and learned to be independent. I have done a bit of ariel dancing for week as part of a dance class. I have performed in various dance concerts. I rode a horse once and it was great because I never had proper training. I learned to fly alone once I started college.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to mediate and listen to my body from all the years taking dance classes that required to take yoga and meditation. I am able to help people find their center and find the willingness to try things such as hand stands or cartwheels. I learned to build trust by participating in games such as trust falls as a way to build a strong friendship. I speak both English and Spanish very well so I am able to communicate and translate. I am pretty good at annotating when I am reading books so anyone who wants to be a more active reader I can do that. I am pretty good at making delicious banana milkshakes and fruit salads. I am a great listener for those who need to talk things out when life gets too challenging.
I want to learn survival skills, such as how to make a fire, what first aid assistance I need in case of an emergency. I also want to learn how to cook and bake. I want to learn how to make jewelry in case I need to find a way to make money when I am traveling. I would love to learn how to sew properly in case I have to fix my own clothes or want to make my own clothes. I want to learn how to ride a horse and survive in case I am in a tough situation with an animal. It would be cool to learn how to play an instrument, such as the piano, guitar or violin.
