About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be on a beach wearing the same board shorts for a 365 days straight.
ABOUT ME
I am a simple person although Julieanne Chazotte would say otherwise.
I'm at page 104 on my first screenplay. I hate writing, but can't seem to get away from it.
I like being in random situations and have had a fantasy this past year of me being on a dusty road in Iran trying to decide which way to go.
I can't wait to get back to SF and see my nieces and nephew.
I was looking into all the different ways people are trying to harvest solar energy and it's made me fairly optimistic on the world, even though it's hard to see the light sometimes these days.
I love my mom and drum n' bass.
PHILOSOPHY
So I finally realized that the one thing I want to do with my life isn't going to be one thing. Took a while.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with a Japanese guy in New Delhi my first time, which was pretty cool.
Interests
Screenwriting, medicine, spicy foods, tequila, drinking wine with a cool gal in a hot spring in Iceland with the sun setting at midnight, eventually doing some volunteer stints in Africa (if I can handle it), and last but most important, people with good hearts.

Music, Movies, and Books
MOVIES: Eternal Sunshine, Ikiru, every Miyazaki film I've seen, every Spike Jonze film I've ever seen (can't wait for Where the Wild Things Are!), It's a Wonderful Life, Irreversible. Those last two kind of sum up the positive and negative poles of human life.
MUSIC: I've been playing "I'm Yours" by Mraz for half a year now straight. Guess it just helps me deal with not being on the beach right now. Acoustic is more my speed these days. Been into French music lately as I've been learning French. Wish I could understand French hip-hop. As far as dancing goes Drum n' Bass and House are my speed.
BOOKS: The End of Poverty changed my whole view on the world and it's future, for the positive, although I haven't even finished it yet. I have an idea for a children's book where a young dingleberry imagines all the possibilities out there in the world for a young dingleberry. Any illustrators out there?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I blew fire in Railay, Thailand, one drunken night. Don't order Whiskey on the rocks in Thailand. It's too cheap, and thus, very dangerous.
Volunteering for Habitat for Humanity in Palawan, Philippines with a group of Korean Uni students was pretty memorable.
I shot a short narrative film once upon a time in Guatemala. Didn't speak Spanish back then and that was the first time I'd been there. Needless to say we had some problems.
Trying to cross railroad tracks on a bridge in Peru a few hundred feet up with huge gaps in between the planks was the one time in my life when my legs were actually shaking. The gaps were, like, 4 feet wide. At least that's how I remember them.
Thinking I was Jesus when I was 16 was pretty trippy, but, um, yeah... Just say no!
I saw my mom recover from 3 brain operations last year. Now that was f-ing amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
Did you know that scientists at MIT are working on ways to use solar power to purify (separate?) hydrogen so that hydrogen engines can finally be cost-effective? Crazy. The sun is going to save us all... that is, until we crash into it one far, far off day.
