About Me
Fernweh (n) – "Farsickness" or an ache for the distance.
Motivated by an urge to learn more about people, languages and cultures, I find that I never spend too long in any one place. But no matter how many countries I inhabit, I think I'll always call Oregon my home. I can never come back if I don't go, right?
I'm currently working on a Masters degree in teaching English as a foreign language. In the meantime I spend the Summers in Europe, teaching English to kids at Summer camps. It's really just an excuse for me to go to Summer camp, I've never really outgrown it...
I love interacting with people from all over the world, thereby making the strange familiar and the familiar strange.
Interests
When not studying grammar I enjoy hiking, petting cats, arranging a cappella music, taking photos, playing the piano, painting with watercolors or just sharing a cup of tea and some nice conversation with friends.
I also make music!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have this habit of watching the same TV series over and over again. At the moment I've watched the entire US version of The Office about 6 times, Parks and Recreation 3 times, Bob's Burgers twice, and I'm currently working my way through the second round of Twin Peaks. Don't get me wrong though, I still somehow find time to watch new things as well.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once I met Barrack Obama's grandmother.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Interesting linguistical factoids, wilderness survival tips and recommendations of my favorite German rap songs. I'll also always wash the dishes :)
