About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet and hang out with as many fun people as possible. To consume as much delicious coffee as humanly possible. To consume as much delicious beer as humanly possible. To never become bored with my life.

ABOUT ME

Updated quickly at Apple store in Chicago July 20, 2012 (just upper portion, I left the rest cuz that shows an interesting snapshot of me at that time)

After working briefly as a flight attendant, tree planter, and server/bartender, I decided to head back to school at got a Bachelor of Music Education.

Nowadays I mostly teach Junior High or high School French Immersion. Waiting to find full-time work but i also enjoy the substituting and replacement teaching gig.

that's all for now

cheers
_________

In short, I am an all around very sociable person. I just finished up a University degree in Music in Theory an Composition. So music tends to occupy a big portion of my life. Whether it be a show downtown at a bar, a bigger act at the stadium, an anticipated great night at the symphony, or just sitting back at swapping some mp3s.

Outdoors, I like to hike, walk, roam, jog, run, swim, bike, camp, climb things, be in high places, take pictures, climb things to get to high places to take pictures, play in the park, nap on the grass in the park, have late night picnics in the park with candles, friends and wine. I like watersports (not the kinky kind) and being active but also completely vegging out in the sun.

Inside, I like movies, books, music, craft night at Kaya and Meaghan's house, cooking, and sometimes napping.

PHILOSOPHY

It's personal!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hopefully plan on doing as much traveling as I can from here on in. When I travel though, I like to get an authentic feel for the place as possible. By this I do not mean going to gimmicky 'aunthentic' shops and restaurants. I'm looking for the type of places I would go if I were truly living in the place I am visiting. Checking out the places I would likely be hanging out in. And hanging out with the people I would consider my friends....AND, as an added bonus, if I can find a place to put up my head and feet allow me to feel even more at home that is an added bonus.

This is what I look for when I leave home, and what I hope CS2 can help me find. Also, I would like to offer up the same exchange to anyone you makes their way out to my neck of the woods.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've full on couch surfed once in Hawaii, and that was excellent! Myself and a friend stay with someone in their small home on the Big Island for 3 nights.

Locally, I've been able to show visitors around town, and that's been fun too.

Interests

See above in "about me" for more, but to add to that list : history, politics, ways of thinking (philosophy I guess), religion (the study of specifically), early childhood development, particle physics, astrophysics, theoretical physics, art, karma, electronics, eating, merry-making, sex and sexuality, planes, trains, and automobiles, conflicts and resolving them, good movies, good books, video games, cartoons, dreams, where to find a good cold beer, the nature of friends

i know this list seems nerdy but these are truly things i think about daily to myself

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

If you havent done so already, BUY A MOLESKINE!!

i did it and it was the most amazing thing i've ever done

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know the Internet has a mass! As in that medium through which you are reading this and we are communicating right now actually weighs something... and can be measured!

The internet as we know it actually know it is all information stored on many servers. This stored information and the bandwidth flow of data is all physically electrons. Now, we know how much data is out there, and can approximate the number of electrons, and since the weight of an electron is also known. BAM! There's your mass of the internet.

I probably have some of the details wrong, but whatever, look it up if you're curious. But it's a pretty neat thought.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, United Kingdom, United States
