Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and explore new places through the eyes of locals. I'm a global citizen before I'm a Canadian! I'm also here to share what I've learned through years of travel, through anecdotes, tips, and most importantly, food!

Interests

Travel is high on my priority list, but my greatest passion is people. I'm that eavesdropper waiting for the opportune moment to join a dialogue and befriend strangers. The numbers on my international address book have recently exceeded my local one, and I couldn't be happier. When I travel, I always have two end goals: to become culturally competent and to learn a local dish!

I also love food, reading, and black, unsweetened, french pressed coffee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I kayaked in Africa's largest Estuary (in SA), home to 800 hippos and 1200 nile crocs. It was simultaneously terrifying, and exhilarating.
