CURRENT MISSION
Finding a place to live in retirement outside the United States
ABOUT ME
Love to listen, learn, and experience new things. Seeker for truth, beauty, and goodness, wherever they may be found. Love to swap stories and ideas. Libertarian but not libertine. Have strong beliefs but don't insist you share them. Big belly-laugh and big heart in a way-too-big body. A sinner struggling to love God and my neighbor.
Interests
I run two small businesses out of my home while taking care of my elderly and infirm mother. I am trying to find a place for us to live in another country for retirement, and as a base for world travel. I read lots of books (fiction and non-fiction), periodicals, and websites. I'm a movie buff and love all the fine arts. I'm involved with social issues, politics, and philanthropy. I worship, sing, and teach in my church (Eastern Orthodox Christian).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Awestruck moments: Sitting in Harvard Yard and hearing Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn give his remarkable commencement address, "A World Split Apart." Smelling the odor of sanctity exuded from the finger of St. John the Baptist in the service for the feast of Theophany at Vatopedi Monastery on Mt. Athos, Greece. Seeing the entirety of Mt. McKinley clearly from a ship in Cook Inlet four hundred miles away early one morning.
Countries I’ve Visited
Antigua and Barbuda, Aruba, Barbados, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Greece, Grenada, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Palestine, Saint Lucia, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Virgin Islands, U.S.
Countries I’ve Lived In
