Overview
About Me
My philosophy is that there should always be enough time at breakfast to have a cup of tea. There's seldom cause to rush.
I want to feel good about myself and have everyone else feel good about themselves too.
I'm from "the sunniest city in Canada", and since graduating high school in 2013 I've been all over and can't seem to stay in one place for long! I'm open minded and I love learning and experiencing, so if you're up for something different, I'm willing to try it out. I love a good laugh and do not take myself (or very many things) seriously. That being said, I *come across* very serious.
I don't drink, never smoke, and occasionally indulge in plant medicine. I'm still fun at parties if you like hearing weird stories and fun facts.
I love volunteering and have done so in 10 different countries from 2014-2022.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best way to see a city is with aid from someone who knows the place. I want a personal connection. I love meeting new people from different places and seeing how they view the world based on their upbringing and culture. Homes are much more welcoming and personal than hotels (or hostels) will ever be.
Interests
I love burritos, animals (especially dairy cows, horses, cats, rats, and snakes), tiny homes, listening to people's stories, new experiences, being warm, tea, the UK, watching bees buzz around flowers, organizing stuff, exploring, laughing, learning, baking, eating, vegan food, nature, trees, sea kayaking, natural healing, permaculture, and equine massage/therapies.

Music, Movies, and Books
Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Trek...
... and GoT, The Princess Bride, Third Star, Cloud Atlas, Big Hero 6, and Earth: Final Conflict
I especially love AURORA, Florence + the Machine, Hozier, London Grammar, Lorde, The Rocket Summer, and country. (Please, no jazz, hard rap or heavy metal)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
What was simply amazing for me was volunteering on a farm for a month in Norway in 2015. (read: City girl who knew things about horses and even less about gardening; it's still my top volunteer experience)
But for real: I've traveled without money. Maybe not for as long as I had planned, but going a solid 3 months without using a dime and living off of resourcefulness, ingenuity, and generosity of strangers is an amazing, wonderful experience, but also the hardest thing I've had to do in my life at times.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you've never baked, I can teach you the basics. I am pretty good at making vegan food too, especially spaghetti sauces, curries and pies. I'm also full of random facts I tend to being up out of nowhere. Hope you like hearing animals facts!
I'm becoming an astrologer, so if you accidentally (or on purpose) slip your birthday, you'll probably have me talking nonstop about you and your life.
I'm up for learning or doing anything! (I'll give it a go, at the least) I'd love to learn how to sword fight! And get good at archery! Maybe learning the harp would be cool? LEARNING THE HARP WOULD BE RAD AND ETHEREAL
What I Can Share with Hosts
I hitch hike. I have stories. (good ones, I swear)
If you have baking supplies, and suggest a yummy dessert, I'm sure I could create something for you! I got to become a vegan pie specialist during my stay in Santa Barbara winter of 2021/22.
