ABOUT ME

Compulsive traveler, culture enthusiast, adventurer, philanthropist, artist, writer, dancer, obsessive movie watcher, beauty seeker.

PHILOSOPHY

I search for beauty in everything and everyone. I believe that there is no main road we all must travel on, but that we are destined to make our own path in life... even if its not cleared yet. I believe in laughter, honesty, friendship, love, and above all dreaming.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Looking for hosts in Europe, mainly for the upcoming summer of 2014. Once I am back in the U.S I may be able to host once I am back on my feet. I want to spend time with people who are genuine and not scary LOL! I dont want to just sleep for free, I'd like to have friends all over the world.

Interests

I am obsessed with film and television. I love looking for the rare and hidden beauty in the world. I am only interested in honest, genuine people and desire real friendships. I am not good at drinking beer. I wish I read more. I am easily intrigued. I love visiting cliche and popular destinations, but love getting the view as a local. I like to wander around streets, and get to know my own way around. I also love small passageways and very old doors.

Too many to ever put down

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The very first time I went to Europe, I went on a spring break trip with a teacher who was planning a trip. We traveled though Italy and a little bit of Switzerland. I was only about 18, and hadn't ever thought much of traveling until I became obsessed with this trip I was having a great time, however it wasn't until we went on a night tour in Rome where something truly spectacular happened. We got off the bus on our very first stop: Fontana di Trevi. I made my way through hundreds of people, late at night none the less. I stopped and looked upon the most beautiful thing I had ever seen. It dawned on me that I was standing in a place that billions upon billions have stood before. Lovers, friends, families, foes... Makeups, breakups, laughs, tears... Over centuries this monument has stood the test of time. A visionary work of art that was so huge, it was larger than auditoriums. This vast and grand work was the idea of a human being. Who created this with his bare hands, with no Google, no iPhone, no forklifts or advanced technology.
I stood there and marveled at this beauty. I instantly had tears in my eyes, and I felt what it truly meant to see beauty in the world. To feel so small, but also so significant. To feel the echoes of millions before me and millions to come. Then and then I knew what is really felt like to understand traveling. That was the most remarkable ad noteworthy moment of my entire life thus forth.
