About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Save the world
ABOUT ME
I am a wildlife veterinarian, public health veterinarian, and nature lover. I love to travel, go hiking, see zoos, meet new people, meet people's pets. I want to see the whole world.
I love good food, the occasional night out at the pub, and late night talks about politics and art. I majored in art (sculpture) for a year when I was 19 (before switching to ecology and then on to veterinary school). I enjoy spending time in a place and getting to know it rather than cramming in as much as I can.
PHILOSOPHY
Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to save the world. I love many different things and wish I had 10 lives to try them all. I am trying to stuff those 10 lives and 10 different careers into the 60 or so years I have left. Conservation and biodiversity, public health and human rights, and research are my big passions.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am looking for some couches or just people to meet and hang out with until end of September when I head back home. I will then be happy to host people at my place or act as guide.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Several years ago I was hosted overnight in NYC during a flight layover, but that might have been a different hospitality organization. I have a lot of experience staying with friends and friends of friends when I travel. I am neat, quiet, and responsible.
Interests
Outdoor sports, camping, hiking, draft cider and good wine, art in general, although sculpture in particular. I read like most people breathe air. I knit, although I have never actually finished anything and I have 5 different scarfs in progress. I like old time rock and roll, although I am not a music snob at all. I like looking at and planning gardens, although not so much the actual gardening itself.
