Southern Utah's desert.

I like Play. Probably, i'm a border collie.

Creativity, adventures, patience, feeling the world.

I find myself walking really slowly sometimes. I earn money by researching algebraic topology. Once I shot a flaming arrow through a 4 foot Elmo pinata filled with cookies. Another time, I held my leg in the air for 40 minutes. I currently hold no world records.

PHILOSOPHY

Awareness of, and engagement with, immediate environment is something I value. Most situations seem to be strikingly and subtly humorous.

Many interests - depending on the company. When I'm alone: walk, run, and sit; and JUGGLE, and contemplate ridiculous or relevant things. Sometimes I read. I am fascinated by natural phenomena of all kinds, particularly demonstrations of natural selection.

I enjoy good humor. I enjoy music to listen to and music to dance to. I enjoy a good game of GO (though i suck). I enjoy improvisation of all kinds. I enjoy sports in as much as they are a splendid means of interaction with folks; and the same goes for food and cooking. I enjoy people smarter than me (of which there are so many). I enjoy a good beer, sometimes homebrew. Again, i love to dance to live music.

I enjoy Werner Herzog films for their blatant ridiculousness and how they display such a generic slice of humanity. I enjoy Baraka since there are no words. I enjoy Edward Abby because he writes about my home; and more generally authors who write about the relationship between humans and land. I enjoy Bela Bartok for deliberately giving my listening mind barely enough structure to observe, and then sarcastically showing me that he is doing so. I enjoy most bluegrass music, bebop jazz, and various jam bands.

I dunno, three weeks in the desert alone? Flashflood, bobcat, golden eagle, moon, cliffs, and silence. Or perhaps just an average day of sitting, eating, juggling, math-ing, running, and friends.
