ABOUT ME

I'm from Ohio, I am a Junior at Kent state University studying Exercise Physiology and Music Production was my previous major, now my minor. I love playing all kinds of music with my friends, going to see shows, I love basketball and love to compete with people but I am always trying to have a good time with people. I am very generous and try to help people as much as I can and pay it forward. I get along with anyone who can look people in the eye and can see the through the nonsense.

PHILOSOPHY

I love natural beauty, and creative art and expression. I want to teach people through doing not telling. I want everyone to see themselves honestly and help people reach their full potential.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would like to host and travel, preferably travel mainly. my house can accomodate but I have 3 college roommates and whoever comes to stay should have an open mind about partying and staying up late, and would be best if they were 18-25ish. But am interested in staying with all ages and genders.

Learned about it from a good friend who participates a lot. Really looking to earn my stripes with CS.

Interests

Workout, play drums, play piano, produce music, Play basketball, paint/draw, reading, checking out any nightlife, hiking, rock climbing, kayaking, swimming, camping, traveling. I love to talk about obscure things with people and sometimes I have a very random sense of humor. But I definitely will make you laugh!

Music, Movies, and Books

The Beatles, David Bowie, Tom Petty, Dave Brubeck, Miles Davis, Hall and Oats, Django Reinhardt. Fats Waller, Frank Zappa. Tons of Classic Rock, Tons of R&B, Love Bluegrass and Folk, experimental Electronic music like flying lotus and J Dilla! I love really any good music, not a mainstream country music fan though I will say that. Extremely well versed in Hip-Hop culture and could talk for days about it.

Books: The tablet of Taoism, Tao of the Wu-Tang, Bhagavad Gita as it is, Dream Power, Emotional Intelligence 2.0, Simulations of God by John C. Lilly, Things fall apart by Chinua Achebe.

I love all kinds of movies, but I really hate stereotypical horror/ gore flicks because I think they are cheesy and usually ridiculously predictable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveling in general has been the experience of a lifetime, driving to Chicago alone to visit a good friend of mine was one of my first adventures alone to another state and I loved it. Going to Bonnaroo music festival the last 2 years has been astounding and I wil never forget that.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can Teach some music theory, music production, exercise techniques, yoga, music culture, going to art galleries, meeting my local friends! trying new food and Beers with guests! Meditation practice, and the value of honesty!!!!
