About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be able to explore places/country the "local" way possible without spending too much. To be able to meet strangers and end up being good friends which CS is the best avenue for.
ABOUT ME
I'm a frequent traveler and I traveled monthly ranging from a minimum of 5days for local destinations and a maximum of a month for a specific region. I do spend about a month for a country I am visiting and I rely much on CouchSurfing for both getting a friend, finding a home away from home and having suggestions. It's a nice website and I'm proud to be part of this community.
I am a web developer by profession and I need internet for sure. My profession doesn't limit me from working in an office so that makes me an avid traveler.
Everytime I travel, I ensure to visit the museum, science center and the parks. I am always fascinated with nature and thus the need to see beautiful sceneries.
I may talk a lot so incase that happens to you when we're together, I don't mind the mention. ^_^
PHILOSOPHY
I have two philosophy I wanted to share:
1. The more you learn, the more you'll realize there's much more to learn and
2. Travelling is a mirror! You tend to discover and reflect more about yourself when you're immersed on different culture. That's priceless!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I first started travelling with a good friend of mine from Cebu who is a CS Ambassador (Dann Diez). He taught me how to travel cheap and I've learned a lot from him. I do idolize him as far as travelling is concerned and I'm amazed at how he stretches his budget and the opportunity to be in the place no matter how odds tend to defy him.
From then on, I've gained a lot of friends through CS and I will always be part of this community.
The passion and the generosity that this site encourages is amazing. I'd love to be encircled by that group of people and CS is just perfect for that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have surfed in Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia as well as in my country (Albay, Manila, Marinduque, Davao, GenSan) and it has been great.
I have very good friends whom I only meet in CS and we've been in touch ever since. I always ensure to review the profile of the person whom I'm staying with and I think that makes my CS experience an overall positive. I never had any bad experience and I strongly believe it should start with familiarizing the person you are staying with and getting to know them because at the end of the day, CS is not just having a FREE bed to spend the night, it's meeting people and sharing culture/experience/travels/stories. CS is more than being kind, it's a habit, an attitude and a way of living for some. ^_^
