I am new to couch surfing. I have hosted a lot of friends back in India and Helsinki. However, never been doing it officially! so here I am - I have always since a kid loved to meet people from completely different cultures and backgrounds - especially in sharing food culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I first came to Malmö Sweden for a film shoot, (sound design) and shoot ended early and I am in middle of a small town. So I thought I would spend two extra days in Malmö city and realized I don't know anyone - so I took this up. And I was so surprised when a kind couch surfer just trusted and let me in for the night! :) It was a completely different experience, something both familiar and strange. We are brought up in cocoons and baskets, choosing and controlling our friends and circles, until there is always the "others". This is a fantastic way to face the reality of the world and experience it the way it is. Full of diverse people like you and me who have the same hopes , fears and curiosities that take us from one shore to the next. I can't wait for my couch surf experience #2!
