About Me
I am a Fulbright Scholarship recipient and a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellow. I teach at Gateway Technical College computer courses and Italian. I spent many years in the computer field. I am single and live currently in Wisconsin, near Chicago. I enjoy traveling and want to visit more countries and learn about other cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In order to travel safely and inexpensively. Also to meet local people and other cultures. I am a people person. Also it was recommended by a friend.
Interests
Hiking, biking, wines, Roman and medieval archaeology, history, teaching English to none English speakers, Netflix, and museums.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read mainly none fiction books and watch documentaries. I like Italian cinema from the 1950s. I read the New York times and Wall Street journal each day online. I like Motown, classical, and Italian music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am a licensed New York City Tourist Guide. I passed a very challenging exam last year and I am proud of this accomplishment! I have studied archaeology in Rome and raised a beautiful daughter who is on her own now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach Italian, computer applications, and history as well as English as a Second Language classes. I have taught all grades and levels from kindergarten to university to corporate trainer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My generosity, interests, language if they want to learn English or Italian and life experience. I am a giver, at least that is what I am told, not a taker. I enjoy people and want to learn from them. I have a varied work and life experience.
