Hello there. I'm Raphael from Switzerland. This is what I think I am: A young curious guy from Switzerland who enjoys the company of interesting people who make me feel appreciated and comfortable. I very much like discussing, chatting, being challenged in my views on this world. Also i don't mind a good joke or some irony. I've only just gratuated and now I officially am a master in history and slavonic studies sorting out his life and venturing into journalism.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet and interact with locals. Also I don't like just to tick off all the major places, cities, sights "one has to see". Instead i prefer to go to more remote and unknow places. But don't worry I am by no means some sort of social outcast. I like to spend time with interesting people, i love to discuss, argue...or just to drink a chilled (local) beer. ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking in the Subarctical Ural in Northern Russia. Nothing but forests, mountains - and bears. Not a single person for weeks.
