About Me
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please read my profile before requesting to stay. 1 - 2 nights is the ideal stay length for me. (See the "My expectations..." section under why I'm on couchsurfing)
I like meeting fun and friendly people. I work as a software engineer in microwave communications and security. I love my job, the team I'm in and the work I do.
On a more serious note, I'm not always keen to have house guests who just want a place to stay, rather than making a connection.
At the moment (as this changes over time) - I'm not such a big party person. I like to study at home and hang with friends in my free time. I enjoy my own company and I like to limit my interactions with others - but I do enjoy and am stimulated by others' company in appropriate conditions. I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do use an IQOS and I'm 420 friendly.
I have ADHD and Dyspraxia - so sometimes in the afternoon/early evening I'm a little "brain dead", but be patient for a moment and let me recharge or finish what I'm doing - and everything will be fine. I think and act a bit differently to a "typical" person, but I am friendly, chilled (well, as chilled as a hyperactive person can be) and hospitable person who makes for good company.
If you are in software and/or the life sciences - I'm very keen to hear from you.
ABOUT ME
An Aussie-Hungarian that's relocated to Budapest from Sydney. I'm a gay man in my 40s. I love to travel and to meet friendly people from around the world.
I live a fairly quiet life, except when I'm traveling. Occasionally I need a push to come out of my shell, but I'm a very happy and positive person. I enjoy a good chat, sharing a meal and maybe a beer or cocktail with friends. I enjoy socialising, but I usually prefer to do so at home. I also need some downtime or quiet time. Sometimes sitting quietly with each other watching tv or a movie is just as engaging as
PHILOSOPHY
I'm a lover, not a fighter. Live and let live I say! :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing to meet new and interesting people. To share my home and to visit others in theirs. I like getting to know different people and different cultures.
MY EXPECTATIONS FOR COUCH SURFING GUESTS
Before you ask to stay with me - please tell me about yourself, with information like:
* What is it about my profile that makes you think that surfing my couch is a good idea
* What common interests we may have
* What you bring to the situation
* Why I may like to host you
* Your sexual orientation (and maybe gender) orientation
* Optionally: Any other skills or talents that may interest me.
If you just want a place to crash for no obvious mutual benefit (other than you having a place to stay) - then please do not ask.
My preference is to host other gay men who are open-minded, liberal and interesting. I am open to meet others as well, but you need to give me some compelling reasons. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelling on both sides of the green line in Israel / Palestine. I'm a peaceful person, and I believe that if you want peace - be peaceful. People are people, and everyone wants the best for their own life.
Moving to Budapest, the land of my father's family - and experiencing first hand the differences and similarities to my "inner Hungarian culture".
Met family and cousins around the world, of whom I never knew existed until recently! (So many new cousins lately!)
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a bit of a geek - if you want to know how to program or administer a computer or are learning - let me know.
