Hej! We just moved to Uppsala, Sweden, and finally have a living room with a couch to host surfers. Last year we lived in Berlin in a big flat share with 7 people and in Paris for the past 12 years. We speak English, French, Serbo-Croatian, a little Spanish and some modern Greek. We understand Italiano when spoken piano. Raphaelle is French; Leonora comes from many places: her favorite is a country that doesn't exist anymore, Yugoslavia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As beginner couchsurfers, we were looking to stay with locals and share good addresses in Greece, but our first experiences have inspired us miles beyond that. We have had some unforgettable times. Upon arrival in Volos and then in Skyros, Greece, our hosts welcomed us as one would welcome a lifelong friend. These encounters have transformed our vision of travel, friendship and sharing. We wish to transmit this experience of Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books and stories, it’s really a big deal for Raphaelle. She is always between two or three books : modern and classic novels, French and others authors, Science Fiction (the old American one, I don't know the new generation, but if you have advice it is most welcome), and 'roman noir'.
The music we enjoy: Rock n'Roll & Swing, Punk: Bérurier Noir, Vice Squad, The Exploited, The Ruts, The Clash, Riot grrl: Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, X-Ray Spex. Leonora loves Iron Maiden and Metal music especially Norwegian Black, but also Mozart's pieces for piano and violin, Brahms’Paganini variations, Greek Rebetiko, a dose of Radiohead and sometimes Tango like Orquesta Tipica Fernandez Fierro and all the Jazz they play at the NYC club "Smalls."

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Three weeks horse-riding trip through Kirghistan; diving 30m below the surface with sharks in French Polynesia; making Bosnian pita-dough with my hands; having food for hours and dancing in Skyros.
