My name is Ralphy Sanchez a music producer from New York City. A couple of months ago a very close friend asked me, "What does freedom mean to you?". This question puzzled me, and it made me realize I had no answer. I responded, " I dont know what freedom is because I've never experienced it". The concept of "Freedom" was now stuck in my head and sort of made me start re-evalutaing my whole life. I then started realizing that I was not happy, my job, my living situation and everything else did not make me happy. Music seemed to be the only thing that kept me going. Not too long ago I saw a movie called "All Is By My Side", which is a movie based on Jimi Hendrix's life, and I remember feeling so much emotion in my heart and the only way I could realease it was through my music. The next morning all I kept thinking about was his journey and how he followed his dreams. Then a lightbulb lit in my head. "I want to travel the country" is what I thought, I want to travel the country and find my own freedom. I want to change the things, the people and places that I'm so used to seeing, I want a much bigger and brighter perspective on life and the freedom that I now seek. Music is my passion and I would like for people to hear my music, love and appreciate it as much as I do. My goal is to showcase my music and the talents that I posses in everyplace I visit; I am doing this in hopes that one day I could make it big as a music producer.  In addition, I am saving up money and selling everything I own except a few pieces of clothing so that I can sustain myself through the start of my trip. I've decided to take this trip to find myself and also find my purpose in this world. I want to learn more about the places, people, the different cultures and incorporate that into my music. I want to learn to appreciate this life and encourage others to do it as well. By doing this I would hope I can influence/inspire others to go ahead and not be afraid to chase their dreams, even if that means leaving everything behind. After all this life is very short and we should all follow our hearts. I will follow my heart, I will make my dreams a reality, I will find freedom, I will be HAPPY.
