About Me
I love pets, people, unique thrift shops, learning, overall fitness, health and and of course I love my family.
I just finished my final year of college obtaining my bachelor's of science with a Kinesiology Major and a Minor in Health. I used to work at a gym for the college I was attending which is University of Rio Grande Valley. My hobbies include writing, rock climbing, yoga and sports of all types. I am a pretty creative person and I enjoy little walks/hikes outdoors. It's kind of ironic how bad my allergies are but I will always love mother nature no matter how many times I sneeze lol.
My philosophy is to seek knowledge and always learn while encouraging others to do good. I read all types of philosophies and zen type of books. One of my favorite quotes is from a mindfulness book and it states "It's good to have an end in mind, but in the end what counts is How you travel -Orna Ross"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting all different types of people, honestly there was one year anyone I saw sitting alone I would ask to join them to eat just to make friends. The more friends the better, it was pretty neat that year I made a ton of connections and still to this day those people are good friends of mine. Lately I haven't had much time to do as much traveling as I want when I was a college student it was pricey and difficult especially with all the studying I had to do. The cool thing about studying though is basically I can take my study material anywhere. I know some people have talked about coach surfing and in my opinion it sounds like a unique experience to get along with others while being at a beautiful place creating a new friend.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love listening to a song called Silk (Ianborg Remix Chillstep) by Giselle. Favorite movie would be white Oliander because in the movie it shows some pretty nice drawings from the main girl who is artsy but it's neat how the girl gets independent while going through many obstacles. She ends up falling in love but the hardships remind me to stay strong. My favorite book is called the last lecture and it's a heartwarming book that may bring tears, it's about a professor who has some type of cancer, he writes his "Last Lecture" that was his life is being elaborated on, he explains how much he cares for his wife and kids. Basically he's also trying to help teach stuff for his kids when he can't be there along with trying to comfort his wife with life long lessons he has to look at in his book. Definitely worth my time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Obtain Bachelor's Degree
Competed in soccer for college freshman year at Our Lady of the Lake University
Competed in track sophomore year in college at University Texas Pan American but now the college is called University Texas Rio Grande Valley since our school combined with Brownsville. I've gone to different places because of college sports but it seemed like business. Went there to compete mainly that was it so finally I have a nice stable car to travel a bit and a good job that way I can experience life around the world. Learn how other cultures are and definitely when I have my own place I'll be interested in becoming a host instead of just a couch surfer for now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm good at showing others my personal experiences and giving advice I tend to be pretty realistic yet positive. I love cooking so I can share recipes I used during college, my favorite so far is a specific fruit salsa.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Books, I always have books with me I enjoy reading. Of course being respectful is a must but I'll bring some humor with a cup a positive vibes to the table when I visit. A lot of times I'm pretty open minded so I can provide good conversations about pretty much anything. I can cook, actually an old roommate of mine and me made something called Pho Pizza, it was delicious. Just being creative, positive, silly, knowledgeable and working out is something I feel like I can always provide whenever I share anything with people.
