My name is Raquel, currently I'm living in Australia for one year, working and travelling.

I started 4 years ago to do some handcrafts, and from the past 3 years it is my job! I do things like bags, wallets, backpacks, and some jewelry all with leather. I like to work also with natural things that I found during my trips, such as feathers, shells and whelks, to make dream catchers, wind chains or some jewelry.
In my free times, I like to do yoga, go joging or for a swim. Music is one of my passions also, I really like to sing and to play any percussion instrument. My favorite type of music it's reggae, I grow up listening to it a lot with my family, and for me is very important the lyrics of a song, as I like to listen to something with a message.
I love to cook and to enjoy the evenings with my friends :)

I love nature and animals, I have 3 dogs and 2 cats in Portugal! Back home I live in a farm, with my sister and my father.
I'm always up for a long and deep conversation, metting new people. Everything that is new, adventure.
Sometimes I love to go out and dance till the sunrise :)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm really an open mind, free spirit. I love to meet new people and learn about them.
A friend of mine told me about it, instantly I want to experience it :)

My first experience with couchsurfing was 6 years ago when I host a girl from China in my rented house when I was in university! It take me to learn a lot about a different culture, also some chinese (that I allready forgot) and really good conversations. After that I hosted more people in the farm where I live with my family, and it make me feel always very happy to be able to share our way of living, costumes and so on, with people that were very interested to live this moments with us.

In the other hand, travelling I used couchsurfing once when I was in Amsterdam.

Volunteering!!! In diferent festivals, animal shelters, in Bulgária for 6 months with childrens.
After Australia I want to go to south America, and learn about permaculture.
