About Me

I'm a laid-back dude on the second year of my Computer Science bachelor's degree. Aside from learning programming in my university classes I also teach it to young children :D We're usually building small videogames for them to play and I help them understand how they work under the hood; I try to be the cool fun teacher I never had. When I'm not in front of the keyboard I usually play the keyboard, or more recently the guitar..with various degrees of success but I'm still learning!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm a spontaneous guy, always looking for my next adventure. I want to meet interesting people, explore new places, eat tasteful dishes and come back home with stories worth sharing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a lot of music and some of my favorite bands are: Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Stoned Jesus, Audioslave.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last December, me and my friends failed to secure a cabin for our New Year's Eve party. We didn't give up and instead of drinking alone in front of our TV sets all night, we decided to board a train going to the other corner of Romania just to have the party there, on rails.
It all went better than expected! We had a whole train wagon to ourselves, plenty of food laying around, a set of speakers we played music on and we even made friends with the conductor and had a few drinks with him! At the end of our journey, we boarded another train that took us home through the capital, and thus we circled the whole country in 2 years. We visited a lot of our country in the process, made some friends along the way and listened to some poetry from our friend, the conductor, who is a member of Writers' Union of Romania! Even though it all took around 40 hours and we had to consume a large number of energy drinks to stay alive, it was all worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a numerous amount of Romanian swear words, useful in daily encounters. I will offer my extensive knowledge in music theory, playing the piano and "bashing your fingers on the guitar fret to try and hold a bar chord". I also cook a mean chicken.
