Overview
About Me
I'm a software engineer living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.
I enjoy traveling and discovering new places, meeting people and learning about different cultures. I'm not particularly drawn to famous attractions that are often crowded with tourists. If I have to choose between visiting a renowned city like Paris or a remote village in Guatemala, I would definitely choose the latter.
I have an interest in geography, sports — especially football (I used to be a football referee in high school), history, engineering, and learning new languages
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because hosts know what's worth visiting in their cities better than any online guides because they have local knowledge.
Being a host myself has made me realize things I didn't know before about the city I live in. When I talk with my guests as a host, I have the feeling that I'm traveling, even if I'm staying in the same place
Interests
I'm keen on exploring and learning about other cultures, especially the ones from Latin America and Southeast Asia.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a wide range of music, from Mongolian throat singers to Manu Chao.
My all-time favorite movie is Interstellar. I watched it three times in the week it was released. I also enjoy movies by Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino. Some other films that come to mind are The Silence of the Lambs, Fight Club, Cidade de Deus, Intouchables, Filantropica, The Oak, and No Country for Old Men.
I enjoy reading works by Albert Camus and Franz Kafka. Perhaps my favourite is The Metamorphosis.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacked in the Americas from Patagonia to Panama.
Hitchhiked through Europe from Romania to the Netherlands and back.
Met Pablo Escobar's brother.
Swam with pink dolphins in the Amazon.
Teach, Learn, Share
I could tell you interesting things about Romania and even others places, stories from my travelings or other people's I know, tell what to see here and maybe show you some of them.
Probably I will have some traditional Romanian food to share.
