About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Green my scene.

ABOUT ME

I like to roll up my sleeves and get to it, not just flap my gums and beat it to death. Let's get going already! If we're not sitting in a bar, sharing a pint, relaxing at home or in a nice little club somewhere, we'll let's get a move on, here!

PHILOSOPHY

My mother always said, "Live and let live." While I regard that as a fine motto, it hasn't prevented me from being very opinionated at times.

Most of the time, I don't dislike particular people, so much as particular behaviors - wasters, ranters and whiners.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think this is a great idea! I've been telling everybody about it. I've even told some people more that once, I've gotten that look... you know, where the eyeballs go up and the head starts shaking...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Haven't surfed, but I've hosted and happily met CSers. Look forward to doing more!

Interests

Cycling, computers, workin' on bikes (the non-motorized kind... recumbent, specifically), music, movies, and the gustatorial pleasures of this world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies? Lots!
Treasure Island, the 1939 version with Wallace Beery. You'd do well to watch that one, I may be quoting from it.
The Last of the Mohicans, the 1992 Daniel Day-Lewis one. Wow!
Waking Ned Divine... and a million others!
Books?
Just finished a series by Joe Kurmaskie, the cycling writer. Bios, histories, profiles of the (US) Revolutionary contemporaries, especially Franklin. I love to read, but I have a mind like sieve, it's a very fleeting pleasure and what I digest seldom becomes any part of my tiny storehouse of knowledge.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw my children being born. Wished John Lennon a "Happy Birthday!" Shook Bobby Kennedy's hand.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an electrician, that's my forte'. I like to work on bicycles and I have a lot of familiarity with PC's up through XP and now with Macs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, Dominican Republic, Peru, Puerto Rico, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
