See as much Europe as I can see before my Study Abroad experience is over.

ABOUT ME

I am a Construction Engineering Student at Iowa State University and am currently studying abroad for the Spring 2008 semester at Swansea University in Swansea, Wales. I love to travel and meet new people. I want to see as many places as I can and meet as many people as I can before I go back to the states.

PHILOSOPHY

All stress does is shorten your life expectancy and life is too short as it is. You might as well just plan stuff out as little as possible and go with the flow.

It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything -Fight Club

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am participating now by going around Europe and hopefully staying with a lot of friendly people who can make my journey that much better. When I go back to the states I will open up my couch to anyone who needs it (If anyone comes to Iowa).

I have yet to host but I am very new to couchsurfing and once I am home I am completely willing to host anyone who is nearby.

兴趣

Basically any sports and being outside. I love walking around a brand new city and getting completely lost. It would be nice to stay with people who want to show me around there hometown and show me all the good stuff too. I like to go out at nights and see what the night life is all about. I'm a horrendous dancer but I don't mind getting out on the dance floor and embarrassing myself.

The best movie ever is Fight Club.
Also Saving Private Ryan, Batman Begins, Beerfest, Constantine, The Holy Grail, Rounders, Trainspotting, Shooter, Snatch, Superbad, Grandma's Boy, and American History X are all pretty good.

The Great Gatsby is one of my favorite books. I also really like 1984 and Brave New World. I just recently started reading a lot so if you have tips on some good books to read let me know so I can broaden my literary mind.

I listen to literally all kinds of music, especially stuff you can dance to, but my favorite bands are Valencia, Steve Miller Band, and T.I.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I beat solitaire in 47 seconds. I don't care what anyone says. That's amazing. I would also say that just the fact that I am out of the country on Study Abroad is a pretty big thing that I have accomplished. None of my family and friends thought I was serious when I said I was going to do it but I love proving people wrong.

I want to meet people will teach everything they can. I want people to tell me all there stories and all about the cities that they live in.

I really don't have much that I can teach except for math and science stuff but even at that I'm not the best. I don't mind getting into debates about random stuff with people even if sometimes I don't know all the facts. I love to hear other people's opinions because you can't really know much until you know all teh sides to every story.
