About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Absorb the world and be a sponge to what it has to offer. And To exceed my husband's record of having been to 26 countries. Iv only been to 18 till now. Im very Passionate about travelling!
ABOUT ME
A glass half full kinda girl from a loving family. Married 10 yrs back to someone I met online and am happy to say we're good partners for each other and best friends.
I worked at a Bank as a Credit Analyst for a few years here in Canada and then decided to leave the 'job' and enjoy living well. I am a Real Estate Investor as well. and My husband, Deepak, is an engineer working for an IT company.
A careful spender, good with money, good planner & executor of those plans, a voracious reader, would do anything for my family and a lot for my friends kinda person.
I love to travel and see new places-esp places which have some historical significance, beautiful landscapes, peace and quiet and or different and delicious cuisines.
A big foodie, I am not one to diet or curb my carbs. Absolutely love to eat good food and eat anything yummy as long as its not slimy or gooey (read insects/some sea creatures).
Am a good cook and like making visitors to our home feel comfortable and at home.
Also am very house proud and dont like the idea of people who do not respect someones property or home. on the other hand if you care about mine I am very grateful and appreciative and might just cook you a nice satiating Indian meal. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Be good to those around you, expect nothing and if you get something good out of it, Pay it forward. That being said, don't let anyone walk over you.
If you can't make someone smile, at least don't be the reason for their pain.
If I find someone is creating trouble in my life or in my family or relationships, after a couple of opportunities I will not hesitate to let them go their way, separate from my path in life. Do not want negativity in my life if possible.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to see where this takes me and how it helps me broaden my horizons, and my understanding of people and cultures and the world.
I am not of the opinion that the world needs a 'shut down and restart' button like some, I have faith in humanity and am certain that most of the people have good in them. I hope that the other kind don't change my opinion of that and make me cynical. That would be very sad and something I will fight against.
I believe in Karma and that if I do good then it will come back to me or my family in some form.
Also, a believer in the concept of 'Pay It Forward'. So, if you find that your experience with me was nice and kind I would be the happiest if you would pay it forward. because as they say "What goes around, comes around" :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Love good cinema! It can be in any language if it has subtitles.
Have seen a few Spanish movies----most of the ones which have my FAVOURITE actor Javier Bardem! And Penelope Cruz too! strange how both of the people I think are most gorgeous actors are from Spain AND are now married!
LOVE good music-esp hindi music. From movies, Ghazals (soft soulful), sufi songs. Also love the classics of the Masters like Bach, Mozart etc. (have been to the house Mozart was raised in, in Salzburg). And yes, I do love English music too. Catchy songs with no crash bang screaming noises ;)
LOVE reading! Esp about people and things that happened. So biographies, historically inspired stories, etc. Love to learn about what makes people who they are.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Iv had a wonderful life till now so there are many wonderful things Iv seen and done.
But the one that i cherish so much is the 1 week stay at an Orphanage near the hills of north India, in April 2011. Living amongst a 100+ kids and spending time with them on the farm that they are living on was probably the best time I had with the least amount of expectation. I got SO much out of the experience! SO much love!
And in Feb 2012 we went to the Snow Village in Montreal and stayed overnight in an IGLOO!!!! That was absolutely AMAZING!!!!
Teach, Learn, Share
Would be happy to teach you how to make some Indian dishes. Or Chai (Indian tea) if you're into that! :)
Would love to learn about your culture, traditions, beliefs, history and experiences.
Would also love to learn a dish or two from your regional cuisine!
Would be happy to share ours (the list above this point).
