Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Open house, Available couch!

Amateur tour guide.
Love my country, my culture, my history. Proud African, Indian, Amerindian and Caribbean. Also a passionate citizen of the World and I enjoy hearing and sharing the cultures and experience of others.

Love nature and know some amazing spots. Trinidad and Tobago is an amazingly diverse country in both natural and social environment, and you are almost always less than one hour drive from anywhere! as long as i'm available i'd enjoy sharing as much as i can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Been doin this before even knew it was called couchsurfing! Mostly hosting, sharing the natural and cultural landscape.

I've also traveled to a couple places within the caribbean, north america and africa and met and stayed by persons there - sometimes strangers, or as they say- friends who have not yet met ;) ...

pet a cheetah in Kenya.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I AM a teacher by profession for a reason! I LOVE to teach.

I can teach / share:

Music! (as much as a self taught musician can teach i.e. the basics - which is all u need to know actually to start teaching yourself) ;)
Steelpan (u may know it as "Steel Drums")
Guitar, Cuatro

Science - Chemistry, Physics

History - esp Cultural history of Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean

Language - Trini talk is practically a whole other language - I even have a dictionary of Trinidadian terms! I'm happy to offer live support ;)

Movement : (Dance/ Yoga) - Well not me - my wife tho is a Fulbright Scholarship Alumni from California (with Trini heritage) who studies and teaches various "movement styles" including Dance and Yoga

Cooking - I am no expert but I can show something about Trini cooking. An for more advanced instructions - I have my people to call - they love to come over and cook by me!

Would Love to learn:

Music
History
Culture
Language
Cooking
Science
so basically the things I teach are the things I;m interested in learning more about - makes sense i think! ;)
