About Me

Trying to figure out what's out there, never spending a weekend in the same place, taking as much advantage of the 22 holiday days per year as I can and always looking at how I can go past my limits.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some people think that travelling only means going somewhere. I believe it's not only about that, but also about the journey itself and the people you get to meet on the way.

I have found that, whenever I avoided the all too boring hotels, I managed to stumble upon fellow travelers who have all been amazing people, and who managed to transform the otherwise basic act of traveling into a real journey.

I am on Couchsurfing because I believe that couchsurfers are some of the best travelers in the world, the type of travelers who "get it".

Interests

I'm into motorbikes, bicycles, touring on my motorbike and on my bicycle, traveling, camping, film and digital photography, traditional and bare-bow archery.

I like meeting people, discovering places, trying out new things, observing new cultures.

Oh, and I totally love my morning coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always forget the names of the films I watch, I never remember the names of actors and actresses (except that guy in Terminator, Leonardo di Caprio or something like that - I know, dad joke :)).

I listen to a bunch of stuff, ranging from classical, blues, jazz, rock, heavy metal, heavier metal ;), even heavier metal :), hardcore, and some electronic stuff that has more than the boom-tss-boom-tsss sound to it. :)

I sometimes read books but it looks like my adult self has been lately refusing to allow for such pastime, always finding more "important" stuff to do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't only name one, as it seems I have a bad habit of trying to go past my limits on a constant basis.

One of my best travel experiences so far has been cycling a total of 1100 km in two weeks, from Stuttgart to Bratislava on Eurovelo 6, enjoying the German and Austrian "summer" (and by summer I mean cloudy, windy, rainy weather).

On a close second is driving my motorbike from UK to Romania, 4500 km in 8 days (took a detour through the Swiss, Italian and Austrian Alps ;)), while spending my nights at friend's places, camping, hostels, couchsurfing and (ok, I almost cheated here) at one guesthouse. The amazing part was not the trip itself but that I got closer to my friends and met new and totally awesome people on the way.
