Overview
About Me
I'm born and raised in the city center of Denmarks capital, Copenhagen. I have however spent 14 months, from april 2013 to june 2014, traveling around the world and I still seize every chance I get to go traveling.
I find it incredibly hard to describe myself, but I'll give it a go anyway :) I have a lot of energy (!), maybe even too much, and an apatite for food accordingly huge. I love exploring and hate sitting still. I feel pretty relaxed as a person, though. I have kinda learned to channel all of my energy into exploring the world around me and breakdancing. Oh, and I love having a chat over a cup of coffee or a beer :)
I'm currently studying Journalism and International Studies at Roskilde University near Copenhagen - two immensely interesting subjects in my opinion. I work part time as a bartender at a chilled and cool bar in Copenhagen. Then there's my other job: A professional breakdancer - it isn't the most well paid job, but once in a while when something pops up, I earn some extra cash going straight to my travel savings. I spend roughly 12 hours a week just training to become among the best!
The rest of my time I devote to my lovely girlfriend, my many books, my guitar and my motorcycle (which has a tendency to constantly break down, so I'm slowing becoming an expert on fixing motorcycles).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to show people around in Copenhagen or just help them out with some general issues regarding my wonderful city.
I participate in couchsurfing events almost everywhere I go to meet people, who can give me a local insight about the city I'm in. I love being part of couchsurfing, where, I feel, you meet the most interesting people! There's never a short conversation. Also, I love surfing with people to really experience how it feels to be a local in anothers city (I don't care to much for all the touristy stuff - I can do that when I get older). It's a great way to get a different - in my opinion better - perspective of the city you're currently visiting. I mean who really learns about the culture of a people by visiting a monument with other tourists?

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Documentaries are my thing! I love a good, well made documentary.
Books: I read a lot, so pretty much anything from Bill Brysons 'Short History of Nearly Everything' to R. Pirsigs classic 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance' to 'The Capital' by Thomas Piketty. Any book recommendations will be gratefully accepted :)
Music: I love live music! Concerts are for sure my thing! I've a few amazing and memorable ones already, such as: Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen, Chase and Status, The XX, Faithless, Kavinsky, Passenger, Bon Iver, James Blake, DJ Premier.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pinpoint specific moments, but I'd rather like to look back at places I've been and people I've met. Dancing in New York with some of the worlds best breakdancers for a bit over a month; Dining with amazingly hospitable and friendly people in Colombia; Experiencing New Years Eve at Copacapana, Rio De Janeiro; Surfing for three weeks straight in Santa Cruz, California - all among my best memories!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you:
- To breakdance (yeaaa!!)
- To play guitar (I wouldn't prentend that I'm good, but I know my way around a few chords).
- To build a cardhouse..
- Some killer recipes for cocktails
- How to do/prolong a handstand - that always handy, when you need to do a handstand at a job interview, a party or whatever ... :)
And I'm always ready to learn new skills taught by people with a genuine interest in whatever it might be!
