ABOUT ME

I´m a teacher having lived and studied in Bristol, England till the end of June 2010, currently living and teaching in Ulaanbaatar/Mongolia. I´ve also been to Russia a number of times, which has been a great experience. I´m interested in getting to know people from all the world and learning new languages (or, if that doesn´t work, a variety of words in the respective languages). I also love music (listening, attending gigs, singing, playing the drums) and interesting books, and I enjoy seeing new places everywhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Was hosted on my way to and from Birmingham, had an amazing time there.

I love meeting people with diverse cultural backgrounds. Also, I think that travelling is all the more fun if it´s free and if, at the same time, you learn more about the specific place you´re in. That´s why I consider Couchsurfing a brilliant concept for meeting up with and getting to know new people as well as amazing places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I performed the Sex Pistols song "Holidays in the Sun" in front of my school (at a concert organised by the school), heavily insulting the audience to do an authentic Johnny Rotten imitation and fearing to get the axe afterwards. However, I didn´t, and some people even realised that I hadn´t been in earnest.

Teach, Learn, Share

If they´re interested, I would love to teach people a bit of Russian, how to do simple drum grooves and how to play simple guitar chords. I´m open to learn anything I don´t know how to do yet- so feel free to present your knowledge to me! :-)
