About Me
Hey!
I am a fun, social and friendly woman always keen to meet new people at home and abroad. I am politically engaged, apply a queer-feminist and decolonial approach to my politics and am currently involved in migrant support work. Next to doing politics I enjoy writing, reading, cooking, running, weight lifting, gardening, dancing, drinking tea... and many more things! Over the past years I have had the privilege to travel around Latin America, Southeast Asia, California in the USA and Palestine.
At the University of Amsterdam I pursued bachelor degrees in Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Social Sciences. For my Master degree I moved to London and studied Migration and Development at SOAS, University of London . Next to my studies I supported migrants in immigration detention. My dissertation on queer asylum activism is hopefully going to be published soon! After the successful completion of the Master degree I relocated back to the lovely city of Amsterdam.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because I have always been hosting friends and friends of friends and also found places to stay with friends of friends whenever I was travelling myself. It makes therefore sense to make an account on Couchsurfing so as to get in touch with more people looking for a place to stay while they are on the road or for myself to meet new people around the globe.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely cook a lovely Indonesian dish, Thai curry or Peruvian arroz chaufa!
If the host has time, I would be very happy to hang out and getting to know each other over a home-cooked dinner or walk around the town, but I am as happy with getting around by myself and do not need nor expect a host to spend much time with me. For me it is most important that all of us feel comfortable. Then we can take it from there!
Next to making dinners, we can also try to improve our language skills as I speak (or try to speak) six languages: Dutch, English, Spanish, German, French and Arabic. It would be fun if we could help each other develop better language skills!
