About Me
CURRENT MISSION
If I had to describe it simply, it's to enjoy all facets of life and live every moment to the fullest.
I believe in the compassion of strangers, the strength of friendships, and the love and kinship found in adventure. I am from a small farming community in Kansas and have a strong background in farming and agriculture. I recently graduated with a degree in Recreation and Outdoor Education with an emphasis in Outdoor Leadership. I am a very outgoing and friendly person who enjoys meeting new people and learning from others. I love to learn and work with new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a guide and lifetime adventurer I live most of my life out in the field or off the grid. I travel frequently and find myself living a very vagabond lifestyle. I enjoy the hospitality of others and love giving back as well. I find couch surfing is the perfect network of friendly, hospitable, and wonderful people willing to share their stories and meet new people. I used to manage a hostel and through the experiences gained and people met in that venture it has only strengthened my resolve to meet new people and share life.
Interests
I am a huge fan of most anything outdoors. My passions revolve around backpacking, rafting, kayaking, and travel. I rather enjoy learning new skills and working with my hands. Fixing and building new things is a definite hobby of mine. I enjoy social events and meeting new people, everyone has a story to tell and you can always learn something new. I'm a huge sports advocate and enjoy playing just about all of 'em. I played volleyball and ran track in College and played competitive Football, Baseball when I was younger. I'm always up for a competition whether it be out on a field or across a boardgame.

Music, Movies, and Books
When it comes to music I'm a pretty relaxed guy. Music should be a reflection of personality and one's mood. Movies are great but I rarely live places where I have access to them, when I do have the chance to catch a flick I enjoy the classics. Books are a wonderful way to pass the spare time, if you ever have the actual spare time to read much after a long day.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Pendulum swing off the local bridge outside of Banos, Ecuador.
Guide bioluminescence kayak tours in the Puget Sound, Washington
had the wonderful opportunity to work with Habitat for Humanity every year in Guatemala. It's not the most amazing event for most people but the idea and ability to give back to others and help build a space for a family in need strikes me as an amazing moment altogether.
Teach, Learn, Share
I consider myself a jack of all trades and am always willing to learn something new or teach someone a skill I have.
Stories, Everyone has one and I love to hear and share with other people about theirs stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm excited to meet and learn about new people. I believe while this is my time in life to be hosted I can only hope to be as good of a host as people have been to me in the future. I'm happy to help out hosts with any tasks they may need and love to just get to know others. Thanks in advance!
