About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To fund my addiction called travelling. To meet people with similar affliction. To exchange stories over a glass of beer (or two...or three). To go to Argentina. And to meet you, whoever you are, who's reading this at the moment.
ABOUT ME
Traveler, bookworm (which would by default mean that I'm one of those people that has read A Song of Ice and Fire and finds fault in TV adaptation of it but still watches it). I hold Master's degree in English language and literature and I stress that not because I want to sound oh, so intelligent, but because it's the perfect proof of what I love - English language and English/American literature. My master's thesis was on lord Byron so I'm more than a fan, I guess I would be called a stalker :) I adore Edgar Allan Poe (Allan, not Allen) and Stephen King. I love movies and used to write a blog with a friend but then we realized that we use too many profanities when reviewing current productions so we stopped. I have three dogs, yes, three. They all have very specific names, but let's not go into that now. I admire Gaudi and everything to do with Spanish/Latin American language and culture. Right now, if I could, I'd hop on a plane and go to South America and never come back.
PHILOSOPHY
Oscar Wilde put it nicely, "We are all in the gutter but some of us are looking at the stars."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I can't offer my couch, at the moment, but I could meet you for a drink or two, show you the sights, be your personal tour guide and, eventually, your true friend. I'm very outgoing and sociable so we'll have a great time - it's a promise!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've just joined so none whatsoever. Hopefully, that will change soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
19th century romantic movement (yes, I know, I'm so cliche) - Byron, Shelley, Keats. Edgar Allan Poe, the master. I bow to thee. Contemporary, Lawrence Durrell, Aldous Huxley, Stephen King, Dan Simmons...G.R.R. Martin (and yes, he will never finish those books).
As for music, let's see...Muse, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Joaquin Sabina, Frank Sinatra, quite eclectic taste, I'd say.
And don't even get me started on movies and series I'm watching! Far too many.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going interrailing two years in a row, with a limited budget, but with great enthusiasm. I've seen so many countries, such great cities/towns/villages, I ran with the bulls in Pamplona (well, "ran"), I met awesome people who have become my lifelong friends and I've learned so many things about life, who I am and what I want. Traveling is the best pastime that exists and if you're like me, it's more than that, it's the way of life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to plan, it's my forte. So, when I decide upon a destination, I read up on it and make an itinerary of the things I want to see. So, one year, a friend and I went interrailing around Europe for one month. Everything was planned up to perfection, budget, trains, schedules, hostels...but it so happened that we entered the wrong train and ended up in a little town in the French Pyrenees called Orthez. It was a jewel of a town and we had such a lovely time there that we realized that unplanned is what makes traveling so great. You can't plan life, can you? The adventure, chase, drenalin, that's what it's all about, and not itineraries.
