Overview
About Me
I am a fun, very honest, politically interested person with a good sense of self-irony. Usually I am calm and perhaps a bit too thoughtful. It is pretty easy to have fun with me though ;)
I realize, since I am a middle-class white hetero cis-male, I have a lot of privileges in this world. Especially while traveling I can feel this a lot. It might be a bit too much for a CS profile, but I feel its important to point that stuff out here. I believe in constant change and self reflection. That is why I want to reflect me and my position in this world as much as possible and be respectful to other peoples cultures while traveling.
I like traveling a lot, but after some time I can experience a bit of a "social overload" and may have the need to just chill alone for a few hours. Please dont be mad at me :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used to host a few people a few years ago and until now actually never used CS to travel. I basically like the concept of sharing a place to sleep for free. Couchsurfing is a great and easy way to practice a culture of respect and solidarity.
Also of course it is nice being able to easily meet locals of the places you are interested in :)
Interests
I am interested in social movements all around the world. I love music and having long political conversations ;) But I also like to just have fun talking nonsense and dancing while getting drunk.
I love exploring the history of the places I visit, and although I am more of a city person, I also love experiencing nature wherever I go.
Music, Movies, and Books
I am into the most different kinds of music. Really. Try me :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are some things that come to my mind, but I will only tell you in person ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about Linux and Libre/Free Software and IT Security. I can teach you how to hack your own WiFi and more importantly how to secure it against other people doing things like that. ^^ That actually sounds a bit creepy.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am "the IT guy" in my circle of friends ^^ so If you have some computer problems (who doesnt?) I can perhaps help you with that.
Countries I’ve Visited
