Hi! I’m Raul, from Recife, Brazil. I’ve lived in different regions of the country and I really enjoy learning from new places, people and cultures.

I’m a calm, respectful and easygoing person. I value diversity, different identities and lifestyles, and I believe shared spaces should always feel safe, inclusive and based on mutual respect.

I enjoy good conversations about travel, life experiences and different ways of living. I also LOVE tabletop RPGs and board games, and I’m always happy to exchange languages. I know Portuguese, English, some Spanish (more Portuñol) and a bit of French. But I always want to learn more!

I don’t drink (just casual wine) or smoke, and when possible, I like to move around by bike.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once arrived in a new city (without a plan, and before joining couchsurfing) and ended up connecting with local people who were incredibly kind and welcoming. We became friends and I was even invited to a surprise birthday party!
