About Me

I'm from the northwest of Mexico, the city seaport of Ensenada, but I've Iived in Mexico City, Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and now in Göttingen.

Now that I'm studying studying my PhD I have two goals:
1) Make the most of my PhD studies. Biomedical Engineering is my passion.
2)Travel, Visit as many countries as possible in Europe, and if possible a bit further too.

I believe in having a balance, therefore I also enjoy going out with friends, exercising and enjoying other activities.
I consider myself someone who likes things simple, no complications. I also consider myself easy going and open minded.
An important part of deciding to live abroad (The Netherlands and now Germany) was getting to meet more people from different cultures, as well as traveling and experiencing being a foreigner.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

-It's always an adventure to host someone you don't know and you can learn a lot from new people.
-This "everybody helps everybody" system is something I like to be part of.
-Since I like to travel, I also enjoy being hosted by locals to learn more details. And of course is cheaper!

Interests

I like to play basketball, dance salsa, watch movies and things in between too.
I also like card and board games, video games.
I'm an NBA fan.
I really enjoy talking with people from different places about cultural differences and how things work in their country.
I never say no to adventures in the nature.
I like to do many kinds of things from going out for a chill drink and a chat, to also partying until the end.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Video around Croatia dancing to "El Taxi" with 3 other friends :)

Teach, Learn, Share

There's always time for people who want to learn salsa, I'm no professional, but also no beginner.
I would be glad to teach you some Mexican Spanish ;)
I can have very general chats but also go very deep into the meaning of life. I enjoy listening to other people talk about their life's experiences, and I also like to talk about mine's.
If I don't speak the language of the country I'm visiting, I should at least learn how to say "please", "thank you", "where is the toilette?", "I don't speak...", "My name is Raul"and "One/Two beer(s) please!"

What I Can Share with Hosts

I respect the house rules. I'm clean. I'm flexible to different plans. I can cook (basic but tasty) and I can also make some nice margaritas!
