ABOUT ME

I'm someone who likes to have fun, but can have really serious conversations. In that regard, I see myself as a well balanced person, with a funny side and a serious side (just like a Mini-Wheat). I like to spend time my close friends, and I really enjoy the relationship we have together. I value friendship very much. Essentially, my friends are my family and the most important part of my life.

I can also be very serious at times, speaking about politics, religions, philosophy, etc. I like to discuss profound subject matters with people who are interested by these questions. One could say that I'm a dilettante because I like to try almost everything because I find almost interested interesting. I'd like to be able to master everything, but, obviously, that's impossible.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm not doing much, but when I'll have my own house, I might be able to help some people out. Actually, I'd really like to. Everyone I met during my time in Asia and everywhere else is welcome to come over.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I remember a trip I had in France to do some archaeological diggings. I needed a place to stay in Paris for about a week and I remembered that I had met this French girl during a trip in Scotland. I asked her if she could help my friend and I for a few days. She actually offered her appartment to us and went at her boyfriend's place. It was a great experience and I did it again in 2005.

Interests

I'm cursed for everything interests me. I'm a big movie fan. I have a preference for sci-fi movies, but any other type of film is good to me, as long as it is well made. I also like to read on a multitude of subjects just to know how the world I live in works. Unfortunately, there isn't enough time for me to learn and do everything I'd like to comprehend or do.

I love nature and the outdoors, but I need to be pushed a bit to get there. It's weird. I think hiking is great, but I never do it on my own. I always need someone to invite me or else I don't go. I need to work on that. But if you invite me somewhere, I rarely say no if I have time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is going to sound so "kitsch", but one of the nicest thing I have done in my life was to swim with dolphins. At a certain point, it was as if I was dancing with them. It was wonderful, I was realizing one of my child's dreams.

Experience Pimai in Laos was probably the best thing I've done in my Asian trip. Best New Year ever!
