ABOUT ME

Only really looking to host female couchsurfers right now. :)

I moved to Seattle in September of 2017, so there's lots that I have yet to explore. I love my neighborhood here, though, since it caters to my live of board games, food, the outdoors, dogs, and booze. :)

I've become much more tame over the last few years but of course still enjoy meeting new people ams learning new things.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to absorb as much as I can for the time I'm around. As long as I'm happy, I'm doing it right.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really want to find some dutch speaking folks on here to help with my atrocious skills.

I lived in the Netherlands as an au pair for a few months and made some awesome friends there-- both on and off of CS. I've surfed a couple of times around the states and in Europe and am finally in a living situation where I can possibly host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Most every couchsurfing experience I've had has been positive. I've surfed a bunch of times but have only hosted once. I love what this organization is about.

Interests

I love going to shows, playing in water, diabolos, harry potter, lord of the rings, video games, languages, telling stories, meeting people, throwing rocks, and learning. Most of all I love travelling and spontaneity. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music includes Cynic, Gorod, The Mars Volta, Talking Heads, Protest the Hero, Animals as Leaders, King Crimson, Pretty Lights, Simon and Garfunkel, The Flaming Lips, Passion Pit, Elliott Smith, Bonobo, Broken Social Scene, Between the Buried and Me, and ORBS.

Movies: The Vengeance trilogy? I'm not sure if that's what it's really called but it includes Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy, and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. AMAZING Korean films. Beautiful and horrible. I also liked Inception a lot. Have seen Lord of the Rings more times than I care to admit.

Books: Worm is a several that I've completely fallen in love with. Sucker for series. Love love love Harry Potter. I grew up with Harry Potter. Love the Dark Tower series so much I have it tattooed on my arm. The His Dark Materials trilogy. Again, LOTR. The Great Gatsby, Catcher in the Rye, Life of Pi, 1984, anything by Kurt Vonnegut.

Television: Arrested Development, Futurama, Game of Thrones, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Good Eats, The IT Crowd, Sense8, Death Note, Skins, Party Down,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I have degrees in Fine Arts and Nursing with a minor in Badassery. I can draw and I used to be awesome at violin, but haven't been playing it lately, sadly enough. Though I may be able to help with your drawing skills.
