ABOUT ME

I was born in Alaska on a September morning in the midst of an early snow storm. Beneath a full moon I screamed my first screams. The wind howled and wolves carried away my after-birth. I used to wander through forests and the streets of various towns, with my little dog at my side, my magic wand ever ready, granting wishes and singing along to whatever song the jukebox in my head felt fit to play. Now my songs are primarily for my two-year old and the birds that nest in our yard.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done my fair share, though not through this site.
Any couch I've ever owned has been bed to many the casual visitor, weary traveler, wayward soul and/or starving artist. All I ask is that you do your best not to be too smelly, and clean up any mess you make. And you MUST be able to at least tolerate dogs and children, if not like them.

Interests

poking at dead things, frolicking, picking flowers, braiding crowns, dulcimers, adhesives, crocheting hats while watching movies, fiber arts with strangers, power tools, gardening, engaging in activities that involve my child. I've had a mild obsession with childrens' books since I was a child myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Let's make something out of string, or paper mache'. I teach children's art and craft classes, which include the basics or simplified versions of limitless art and craft projects. Kids aren't the only ones who learn through play. I braid hair into crowns.
