About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To somehow manage to travel and study with my dire funds and crappy job

ABOUT ME

I'm a simple American who loves scotch, plaids, Scottish football, Gàidhlig, natural landscapes, and travelling. Which is why I chose to take up a degree at the prestigious University of Glasgow. I'll be here for at least 4 years, and I very much intend to see the rest of Europe, at least, while I'm living here!

PHILOSOPHY

A jack of all trades may be a master at none, but then again, he can *almost* do anything.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've not done much of this sort of thing in the past, but I was instantly attracted when my friend and classmate Wojtek told me about it. What better way to help a destitute arts student such as myself see the world, and show people why I love Scotland so much?

Interests

As mentioned above, Scotland (and most everything related), travelling, backpacking, doing things in an anachronistic style or without the help of technology, getting stuff for free, medieval and rennaisance society, and bunches of other stuff.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:
Action films, anything with Harrison Ford or Sean Connery, sci-fi, comedy, the odd drama or romance (Moulin Rouge is my favorite, I think I'm a little bit in love with Nicole Kidman)

Music:
Chiefly ska, punk, classic rock, celtic/celtic rock, but also anything that isn't generally country, pop, rap, or emo. Right now I'd have to say the top bands are Reel Big Fish, Dropkick Murphys, Rancid, Flogging Molly, Kansas, Against Me, and Journey, but it changes every once in a while.

Books:
I love fantasy and sci-fi books, especially the Song of Ice and Fire series by George R R Martin, but I also enjoy work from the likes of Terry Pratchett, R L Stevenson, folk tales (especially of celtic origin) etc etc etc

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Ecuador, Ireland, United Kingdom, United States
