About Me

I'm a recent college graduate who studied Computer Science and Psychology at Harvard in Massachusetts. I currently live and work in Seattle. I'm looking to travel around the world, meet some amazing people, and experience new sights!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I started couchsurfing junior year of college when I was studying abroad in London. I had the opportunity to couchsurf in Vienna and was amazed at the kindness of complete strangers. It was the highlight of my year.

Since then, I've couchsurfed a few more times and every single time it has been a transformative experience. I'm always excited to meet new and interesting people and have memorable discussions with people who I've never met before.

Interests

Cooking, boardgames, walking and biking around cities, travel (obviously!), photography, reading nonfiction, personal finance, computer science, technology, psychology, and discovering new music.

Music, Movies, and Books

My music tastes have mellowed out since college but I'd say currently I'm digging FKJ and Vulfpeck.

Movies: Spotlight, Inception, Kramer v. Kramer, The Truman Show, X-Men series

Books: The Food Lab, Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson, 5-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss, Vagabonding by Rolf Potts, Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell, Freakonomics by Stephen Dubner and Steven Levitt

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went surfing for the first time on the coasts of Portugal with two people I met on a free walking tour the day before in Lisbon!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share any of the interests named above, in addition to my personal experience as a Korean-American and I love learning about other people's experiences of the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experiences living and working in San Francisco and Seattle, studying at Harvard, growing up in New York, and traveling to many different countries around the world. I can lend my hands for whatever odd jobs are needed during my stay. Bring on the challenge!
