About Me
CURRENT MISSION
collect experiences of all sorts
ABOUT ME
I'm half French and half American. Grew up between the mountains of western North Carolina and Paris, France. Later studied film between Paris and Spain. Worked a couple of years in Madrid before moving to my current home: Cairo...the reason I ended up here was quite impulsive: love for arabic culture and a deep desire to learn the language. For now I'm based here, working on documentary films in this very exciting era of Egyptian history...
PHILOSOPHY
Amazement and wonder is a quality that is kept by choice...never ever stop playing :)
I believe in the power of synchronicity and dreams...
I also believe that 99% of people are ridiculously amazing...(at least the ones I bump into :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Although I can't host people in my house I'd be happy to show people around...Despite having sometimes a busy work schedule I do think I'm a pretty good non-Egyptian Egypt guide :) I love hanging out in typical cafes and restaurants, many of my friends are Egyptians, and I'd be happy to take travelers out for a chicha or Turkish coffee, or whatever else time permits!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Has totally revolutionized the way I travel! Am madly in love with Couchsurfing...
Interests
when travelling I love anything linked to living culture: languages/dialects, dancing, music, food, busy cafes, normal neighborhoods with nothing special- I tend to find very special... (prefer this experience than the typical touristic experience :)
also....photography, documentary film, art, politics, religions, writing, spirituality, Jung and sunny terraces...

Books: The Road Less Traveled, Bukowski (yes, yes....), Albert Camus, Number One LAdy's Detective Agency
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-surviving a "revolution" (Egypt)
-being chased by a snake in the Jordanian desert at night
-ordering a taxi and having it be an intact 1930's Citroen (Cuba)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help out if anyone wants to learn English, French, Spanish or Arabic...I also take pictures if you need any :) I can also cook!
I'm very curious about almost everything so whatever you have to teach me I'd be open to learning!
