About Me

CURRENT MISSION

perfecting guacamole over a pint of Guinness

ABOUT ME

Planning a thru-hike of the Appalachian trail, scheduled start in March. Taught Spanish and then English, now trying to build my outdoor recreation/education résumé to keep myself fit and engaged with the natural world.

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is a book and those who do not travel read only a page." -Augustine of Hippo

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm available for coffee or some grub here in Bowling Green, Ohio, an intrepidly windy and corn field surrounded urban sprawl that I temporarily call home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never dissappointed with the fabulous people I've met surfing/chatting.

Interests

hottubbin' (especially outside), adventure races, skiing, running, swimming, cycling, hiking, camping, lounging fireside or poolside, snorkel & scuba, sippin' tea, coffee or mezcal.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movie fan, especially foreign films: Triplets of Belleville, Amelie, Y tu Mamá También, The Return, Vampiros de la habana, etc.

Music is rather flexible, however I'm typically drawn toward the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Radiohead, Tool, Buena Vista Social Club & Bob Marley.

Books are an important part of my development, especially as an English lit major, I enjoy reading political and historical accounts in particular; although fiction is an intrepidly warm activity best conducted on hammacks, the edge of wicker chairs, or while pacing about your flat.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Toss up between skiing at 4,200 m in Colorado, diving in Grand Caymen on giant coral heads, and my esoteric visit to Machu Picchu.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can juggle, ski, hand-stand, change your car's oil, help you with Spanish or English, listen attentively and respond wholeheartedly as best as time and space afford me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Ecuador, Ireland, Netherlands, Peru, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In

Mexico, Spain, United States
