ABOUT ME

I am Canadian (I think Canada is pretty darn awesome. No major earthquakes, no volcanoes ready to coat the country, no huge fear of tsunamis and best of all Canada is huge and so there's room for everyone! If it were up to me, I'd give a large portion of Canada over to Japan, haha :) ).

I was born in Guelph, Ontario to two awesome people who are also from Ontario (My family has a long history of living in Ontario). I have a brother! And a step brother. And possibly two more step brothers and a sister!

I am currently 22. I love traveling. Japan! Japan is awesome.

I have always held an interest in Japan ever since I was a child and was introduced to it.

At one point in my life I was very interested in anime, and I watched things like Pokemon, Sailor Moon, Escaflowne, Dragon Ball/Dragon Ball Z, Digimon and Inuyasha. I still will watch the occasional Japanese animation if I find the story interesting enough.

I LOVE Studio Ghibi.

Currently I am living near-ish to Kobe, in a small town called Inami. I teach English to a varied group of individuals ranging from ages 3 - 75.

I think Japan is great and all, but I sometimes miss things from Canada. Namely cheese. Cheese is the best.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I was introduced to the CS project by a friend but when I was introduced to it 3-4 years ago I did not do too much traveling. Now that I am in Japan I'd love to try and get things more involved over here for those Western travelers who use CS or would like to use CS while in Japan.

Movies: Too many to list. Most Disney movies. Some Ghibli movies. Harry Potter (was a better book but I enjoyed the movies)

I've seen Niagra Falls, and the Canadian Rockies. I've been to the most Western part of Canada you can go to and also to the most Southern part of Canada. I now live in Japan and have seen many a castle and shrine. But I hope to see many more amazing things such as the Northern Lights or some Egyptian Pyramids and European Castles!
