About Me

Greetings!

This year I am planning to explore the Appalachians and the East Coast, riding my bike with two good friends, Josh and Landon, from Pittsburgh to Philadelphia, via the Great Allegheny Passage and the Western Maryland Bike Trail. We will also see Washington, D.C. along the way.

We were searching for hosts to stay with along that route crossing the Appalachian wilderness. We will cover approximately 60-80 miles per day. The three of us are pretty low-maintenance, very respectful and very friendly - we love to meet new people and learn more about the local culture around us. We will also be bringing camping gear with us, such as sleeping bags, so whether you have a place to sleep inside or outside, we could make it work out.

We have primarily used WarmShowers.org to connect with hosts, but we decided to branch out onto other hosting websites, too, so here I am. I happen to know any acquaintances or friends who live along the Great Allegheny Passage such as in Ohiopyle, PA, Frostburg, Hancock or Hagerstown, MD, or Harper's Ferry, WV, we would love to connect!

The three of us are in our early 20s. I work as a civil engineer in Long Beach, CA, and my friends Josh and Landon are both studying to attend law school.

Even if you are unable to host - if you have any recommendations on local sites to see, or advice, we would love to hear it.

Warm Regards,
Raymond, Josh and Landon

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Teach, Learn, Share

I love playing music, I love playing chess, and I love learning new things from others - I especially love learning about history and other cultures and ways of life, and having intellectual conversations. I also grew up in Russia (even though I am American) and know Russian, and lived there until I was 18, so I can tell you about that.
