One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lightbulb moment: In Paris, in Parc Buttimont, near Cimitière La Chaise where Jim Morrison is buried, there was this 4'11" art teacher with a bunch of teeenagers who were very rough and ready. These were the sort that would have been through the French juvenile justice system many, many times. Without so much as a word, and with only a gesture and a smile, she managed to control these otherwise illiterate teenagers and get them to produce some of the most beautiful landscape pictures of the park.
It was at this point where I cried and realised that if I could be 1/10th of her, I'd be the best person I could be. I decided on the spot that I was going to be a teacher. 9 years later, I've never looked back. It was the best decision I've ever made.
