About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Saving up money to head off to SEA! Thinking of couch surfing throughout and getting a more local experience.

Life is short. I want to spend it seeing as much of the world as I can. My mom condemns me for traveling when I should be spending my money on my education, but life is short and I would rather travel while I'm young and able.

ABOUT ME

What I see myself as may be different than what other people see me as, but I will give it my best to give you am objective view of myself. My name is Rayna and I am from the suburbs of Toronto with the dream to one day live in the city. Currently living in Brussels, Belgium as an au pair for a lovely French family. I love to travel, I'm even studying to become an airline stewardess! I am very social and will always be interested in meeting new people along my travels. I am an artist and a free spirit. Currently, I am not available to host due to the fact that I'm living with a family who is not my own, but as soon as I get my own place I will open my couch up to anyone who wants to sleep on it!

PHILOSOPHY

The world is a book and if you don't travel, you've only read one page.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far, I'm browsing couches. As soon as I get my own place (given I'm only 21) I will host right away! Until then, I will be visiting :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far. (Unfortunately :C)

Interests

Reading, painting, playing piano, drawing, listening to music, going out with people, meeting new people, traveling and exploring.

Recently discovered the ukulele and can't put it down!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love dystopic literature like 1984, Brave New World, A Clockwork Orange etc.
I'm a huge Beatles fan, Classic Rock, I like classical (Chopin particularly), and some modern punk-rock.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got bit by a monkey once and had to go to the hospital!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a conversationalist so I love to talk and get to know people. I love cooking and experimenting with different foods so I would love to cook with or for my hosts. I can create art and show my technique and style. I am also a fan of good beer and wine ;).

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good wine, good conversations, good company, belgian chocolate;) and little ukulele concerts. Bear with me, I'm still a beginner!
