About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living life and seeking out new adventures.
ABOUT ME
I'm currently living in Lakeview. There is plenty to do and see in the area and public transportation to anywhere else you'd want to go. Working, volunteering, and generally just getting by in life is what I'm doing. I do have a couch and a large floor that I can offer to anyone in need. I've lived in the city for a little over three years and I find that there is still plenty for me to explore.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you want to do. All too often it seems as if people are influenced by what they think others think they should do. I may make a fool of myself and act like a 5 year old but I'm doing whatever I'm doing because it's fun. Who cares what others think!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Having couch surfed for almost two weeks and having a blast I am able to, and have on several occasions, refer people to the site and plug the concept whole heartedly. I enjoy hosting visitors in Chicago and have met some really awesome people.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
When I first read about the site it was back during the big server crash. After reading about the concept I was really impressed and sad that something so cool could just come crashing down, literally. Fortunately, a while later, a friend informed me that the project was being revived. Since then I surfed with a friend in Europe for two weeks, hosted 30+ people in Chicago, some multiple times, and have enjoyed helping others get involved themselves.
Interests
Photography, Skydiving, software development, Biking, rollerblading, running, nature, dogs, cats, green solutions. And most recently magic. I volunteer as a magician at a children's hospital in the city. If you're lucky I might just be able to show you a trick or two.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've been in Times Square New York on New Years Eve. There were plenty of people there from all around the world so I can only imagine that it's something at least slightly amazing! Others: I've been skydiving 4x, SCUBA diving 2x, bungee jumping 2x, I've released sea turtles into the ocean, been under Niagara Falls, seen a few races at Daytona, visited the Grassy Knoll, been to the end of House on the Rock (long time ago, but still really cool), I've been to the southern most tip of the United States, swam with stingrays, been to the top of the Sears Tower, I sat outside for 10 cold hours waiting for a Wii, and have done the Polar Bear Plunge seven years and counting. I ran the Chicago marathon in 2010. More recently, as mentioned earlier, I became a volunteer magician. Perhaps the most rewarding things I've ever done!
