ABOUT ME

I am currently a PhD student in research on history of art in Istanbul. My research topics are mostly about connections among Chinese, Persian and Ottoman art. I majored in both art design and illustration during my college and post-graduate study in Beijing, China.

I like many kinds of music, mostly indie, rock, post-rock and ethnic...I also like movies, especially some movies from middle-east and eastern europe (I really like the ways how some of the directors from these areas tell the stories and show the scenes).

I think the most memorable things during trips are the time you spend with the people you meet---although the experiences could be short but still quite valuable, from that people start to make some new ideas about this world. Also, being on a trip with some people you've never met before could be quite exciting, and from then you may build some nice friendship.

I want to do some travels and record them with my lens, pens and brushes.

I can speak Chinese, English and Turkish (and keep learning it).

I am a supporter of women’s and LGBTI+ rights. No tolerance towards discrimination :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I sometimes enjoy traveling alone but sometimes I feel lonely since I don't have people to talk with during the trips. It is always nice to know some people and listen to their stories during the trips. Otherwise sometimes I lose the interest to see the sceneries -- I get less amazed by them. Since I am still a student, my trips are quite often in low budget. So it would be really nice to find some hosts in the places that I am going to during my trips. Also, I like sharing my stories, ideas, some knowledge and skills about fine art and design.
