About Me

Student of Journalism and Cinema living in Rio de Janeiro

Sorry guys, but I wont be able to host anyone during the olympic games, 'cause I will be outside Rio! Hope you enjoy such a nice event. For those who's been asking for tips of what to do around here, I made a list, 'cause lately I haven't much time to respond each of you:
- Go to Lapa at night!!! It's my very first tip and there is a reason for that: Lapa it's a bohemian neighborhood where you can find a bunch of pubs of all kinds and they will be open 'till the next day morning. So if you like to enjoy the night, Lapa is where you should go.
- Before start to drink in Lapa, I suggest a visit around Santa Teresa neighborhood. Over there you will find "Parque das Ruínas", it's free to get in and there is an amazing view from the city. After that, you can go down by walking to Lapa. But before to go to the pubs, it worth to stop at "Escadaria do Selarón". Then, walk for 1 minute and you will be at the streets full of pubs (Riachuelo Street and Mem de Sá Avenue).
- Museu do Amanhã at Praça Mauá, Parque Lage and Jardim Botânico: daytime programs to enjoy a sunny day in Rio.
- Rio is a big city, but full of nature. So if you like to be in contact with nature and to exercise, look for some tracks, most of them has a really nice view of the city. The ones I know: Pedra Bonita, Pedra da Gávea,Pedra do Telégrafo and Morro Dois Irmãos.
- The beachs: Copacabana, Ipanema and Arpoador, obviously. But Rio has more to offer than these three: Joatinga Beach, Secreto's Beach, Macumba's Beach and Grumari Beach are some of the most beautiful ones in my opinion.
- Do not miss the city center! It's really easy to arrive and there is a lot to see: just grab a bus or the metro and walk around to find the Municipal Theatre, the National Museum of Fine Arts, Candelaria Church, Tiradentes Palace, CCBB....
That's it! The rest you can find easily on Google :) If there is any doubts, inbox me. I'll try to answer as far as possible!

I have too much curiosity about differents cultures and I like to share and compare theses differences with other people. I love to cook the brazilian food and to try new foods of others countries. I like to meet new people (the most different of me is better), share a bit of me and learn a bit of them.
